🚨 2025 AGM Summary — A Big Year Ahead for PEGS!

Dear PEGS Cricket Club Members,

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the 2025 Annual General Meeting on 28 April. We’re excited to share the outcomes and direction for the season ahead. Here’s a quick snapshot of the key updates:

🧒 Junior Cricket on the Rise
We’ve recorded the highest number of junior teams in 5 years and even launched our first Saturday morning team! Investment in coaching is paying off and will remain a top priority.

🏏 Seniors Ready to Roar
While on-field results were challenging, team spirit remained strong. The club plans to field four Saturday teams next season – a clear sign of growing engagement.

đź’° Financial Position
A modest loss of $1,275.76 was recorded, with sponsorship and grant payments still incoming. Rising costs (balls, umpires, coaching) mean fundraising remains crucial.

🙏 A Huge Thank You to Rohan Jarvis
We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Rohan Jarvis, who has officially stepped down as Club Secretary after four years in that role and many more years working in various roles throughout the committee. His dedication, attention to detail, and behind-the-scenes work have helped shape the club into what it is today — especially his recent efforts in introducing FrogBox livestreaming to PEGS.
Rohan remains on the general committee, and we’re lucky to continue benefiting from his wisdom and support.

👏 Welcome to Our New Secretary — Kyle Scott
We’re excited to welcome Kyle Scott as PEGS CC’s new Club Secretary. Kyle brings with him 9 years of committee experience at Footscray United, including 2 years as Club President and time as Treasurer. With a passion for building strong club culture and improving off-field operations, Kyle is ready to help take PEGS to the next level.

🎯 Key Priorities for 2025/26

  • Qualify for finals in every grade

  • Strengthen training standards

  • Launch new merchandise (including junior hoodies!)

  • Continue to grow the Junior Club

  • Expand sponsorships & social media reach

  • Explore upgrades: Scoreboards, FrogBox for juniors, and net improvements

This season, we’re aiming high — and we can’t do it without you. Let’s build something special, on and off the field. You don’t need a committee title to have an impact. The smallest contributions — setting up, scoring, lending a hand at events — are what keep this club thriving. This is your club, and when everyone pitches in, there’s nothing we can’t achieve together.

Thanks for being part of the PEGS family 💙💛
